Chapbooks and their Prizes

My first chapbook is officially out in the world, waiting to be read by judges!

Though it’ll be a while before I hear back, I can’t wait to see whether Hindsight is (2020) will resonate and find its way to a printing press.

If you can’t wait until September when they announced the winners, here’s a short taste of what this chapbook has to say:

  • A whiteboard on a white brick background with text that reads: LESSON 1.1 When you get your class roster, and you notice that your welding class will be just the basketball team, make sure that you have the dean’s number saved in your favorites.
  • A whiteboard on a white brick background with text written on it that reads: LESSON 2.2 Consider that you may have to explicitly state that your storage room is not a changing room, and that you expect not to walk in on your students in their underwear.
  • A whiteboard on a white brick background with text written on it that reads: LESSON 4.2 Always use coffee mugs with lids to avoid a stray bolt appearing at the bottom.
